We have been so very impressed by Coach Matt and the Norman Swimming staff. In just one winter season of weekly classes the team has our seven year old overcoming her fear of swimming in a full length pool and swimming laps! She is now ready to join our local swim team with confidence and has built a lifelong skill. Norman is a huge value add to our family and the Arlington community.

A great program that feels like more than just lessons. Each group of swimmers works with multiple coaches in the water and head coaches on deck. With sessions being an hour there is time to improve strokes, play games, and build endurance. My swimmer looks forward to it each week.

We had coach Thomas to do an evaluation for our son. The coach was knowledgeable and guided the kid for correct positions. The team was nice, thanks Matt and Camden to arrange a quick start. Our kid will continue swimming with the team!

My children have been swimming with Norman Swimming for about 3 months and they are loving it! The coaches are kind, patient, and also make it fun for the kids (especially those of us with young children). Amazing program!

Norman Swimming is a great program for all types of swimmers. My son decided to give swimming a try later than most kids his age, and this program allows him to learn the foundations while swimming with his age level peers. My son is also neurodivergent and Norman Swimming has been accommodating and flexible to meet his needs. I’m so thankful we found Norman Swimming for our son!

The swimming instructors are very well versed in the teaching on swimming. They are skilled, patient and likeable with the kids. Our kids likely doubled their skills in just a few lessons. They will miss their swimming twice a week-- management is very well run and responsive. Can't beat Norman's in this area!

Matt Norman & Norman Swimming is truly a phenomenal swim program. I can't speak highly enough about the focus on fundamentals, fun, and swim development. It is a program that will provide lifelong benefit to the swimmers/participants. Best in class!

I can't thank you enough for an amazing first season for our kids and your program. Both L and B have improved tremendously, and they enjoyed every minute of it. Swimming was one of the few activities this year that we never got a single complaint on, and they were always excited to attend practice. Their coaches, Lauren and Cole, were also fantastic, and the kids spoke often about how great each of them were both as coaches and as people overall. L especially has gone from being a cautious, novice swimmer to a bold, confident fish, and we know she is more than well prepared for a great summer of swimming ahead. We are beyond pleased with the experience we've had, and the kids are excited to start back up again in the fall.

Our family has participated in this developmental swimming program for more than 10 years. Matt and his coaches are able to meet each individual based on their level. We love that the coaches even get in the water with the younger ages. My older son is such a strong swimmer and life guard. I am confident that Norman Swimming contributed to the development of those skills

Norman Swimming is an excellent middle ground between Arlington County's basic lessons and NOVA's super-competitive swim clubs. Thanks to small, age-based groups, a child receives plenty of attention and focused training on all strokes. Besides swimming fundamentals, the coaches work with each child to develop self-confidence. Norman Swimming provides a helpful stepping stone for all children looking to improve and evolve their swimming capabilities.
